Engines were added to Kubota's numerous product line in 1922 when we researched and developed the agriculture and industry engine Type A, with 3 horsepower. Our engines were then expanded for various usages, and engines of high output, compact and lightweight, have gained a high level of trust in the global market.
We are one of the world's top-class manufacturers of compact diesel engines, also being famous for being the first manufacturer to pass the U.S. CARB ULGE* emission regulations for engines under 19 kW (25 HP). To meet the needs required for a wide variety of industrial engines, we have made the spotless output assortment of up to 86.4kW, running on various fuels as such diesel and gasoline · LPG · Natural gas on the same platform.
On top of our seamless product line-up, we have now extended our product range up to 157.3 kW with the Kubota 09 Series to meet customers diversified needs.
The greatest advantage of Kubota engine is the technology to respond to environmental requirements and application engineering. Since receiving the CARB certification of emission regulations (California Air Resources Board, USA) for the first time in the world as small industrial engines in 1993, we have always conformed to strict emission controls from around the world as a pioneer of environmental technology.
Today, we are expanding our production activities to optimal locations to supply engines to global equipment manufacturers in a timely manner. From 2014, we started the production in China in addition to Thailand where our integrated production covers the entire process, from the manufacturing of casting materials to engine casting and assembly. We will keep striving to deliver Kubota quality all over the world.

Poor flow rate causing engine overheating (Impeller corrosion due to improper water treatment) In the majority of cases, the most economic option is to replace the entire pump. However, repair kits are available for a few engine types. New replacement parts for your own Kubota. All genuine Kubota parts are designed and manufactured to strict factory standards in order to keep your equipment operating at peak performance year after year. With our industry-leading parts availability, you can have confidence knowing that your local Kubota.
As the awareness for the conservation of the global environment has increased, emission standards for industrial engines have become more stringent. All industrial equipment manufacturers are now required to use emission certified engines. In this circumstance, as a leading industrial engine manufacturer, Kubota has always developed the engine which meets emission regulations across the world. Kubota also offers a full line-up of compact diesel engines from 56kW to 86.4kW which meet EPA/CARB Tier 4 (including Tier 4 Final) and EU Stage IV standards.
Kubota was founded in 1890 with casting business. The casting technology is one of our core technologies for various products including engines. With the casting technology, Kubota can produce complex shaped crankcase which keeps our engines with high-performance and high-durability.
In 2016, Kubota announced development of its first large-displacement engine, Kubota V5009. With its good balance between reliability, performances and high power density, this engine was awarded to “Diesel Of The Year 2019” as the first Japanese winner.
