VMWare guest OS, SAP GUI for Java crashes as soon as the first HTML Control is called. This is caused by incompatibilities in the underlying native rendering libraries. As a workaround, a 32-bit Java runtime can be used to run SAP GUI for Java, Please be informed, that according to Oracle's support statements, VMware is not a certified hypervisor. Hi trying to install SAP Gui for Java as well on Big Sur, PlatinGUI72494.JAR is the version I try which should be correct. I've tried with different JDK's, oracle one and the Sapmachine 11 and Sapmachine 15 Checked javahome and all looked fine, could run other java apps like Eclipse fine. But GUI750 12 just won't do anything. I am trying to install the Sap Gui 7.50 for Mac. But I seem unable to find any usable documentation. WHen I install sap gui it refers to the chapter 5.1 (see below) I am looking for a step by step guide to set this up on a mac, as there have been some changes.
Hi all,
a new major release of SAP GUI for Java is now available for download.
Besides using Java 8, SAP GUI for Java 7.40 supports various new OS versions and Linux distributions, comes with a new theme and includes various new features.
For details please refer to the manual (chapter '6.2 Release Notes and System Requirements' and '2. Installation') of the PlatinManual and SAP note 2059424.
Please be aware of some known issues related to the Html control component, which are expected to be addressed in Java 8 Update 40.
Planning information
SAP GUI for Java 7.30 will be supported until March 31, 2015. Therefore you should plan to upgrade in Q1 2015.
Best regards
Rolf-Martin Wörsinger
